Thankful For SoMany Things

This is a time of year for thanksgiving. Many may think it is hard to be thankful when you are having trials. But I have SO much to be thankful for. I've got a wonderful loving husband, who would go to the ends of the world with me and for me. An amazing healthy little boy, that is the life and light of Matthew and my world. Yes we have our struggles with Matt being out of work, but we still do have a steady income and a warm place to call our own. We have dependable vehicles, food on our table (or tv trays), clothes and shoes to wear, good health...the list could go on and on. Although I am extremely greatful for my wonderful little family, I'm more greatful for my Heavenly Father who has blessed me with all these things. The fact that he sent me Matthew (twice) is a blessing in itself. The fact that we have the chance to someday go to the temple, and be sealed for the eternities. Along with our amazing son, and any other kids God may bless us with. I'm also greatful for amazing parents that have raised me in the gospel and have raised me so strong in life itself. My parents are truely amazing people. There is so much I could list here, but these are a few of the things I have been truley blessed with. I LOVE YOU MATTHEW AND RIDGE!!! :)

Can you believe it? Yesterday was our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY. We made it! ....Its been a wonderful year. I truly could not ask for a better man to spend my life with...and eventually the eternities with. Matthew is so amazing, such a wonderful husband and dad. I'm very grateful daily for him in my life. I'm glad he found his way back to me :) ... Well, for our one year, we went "wheeling" to the place that we went on our second date, and the place Matt asked me to marry him (Farmington Canyon). We went up there and played for a bit, while Grandma Claudia watched Ridge for us. . . . I love you Matthew, with all my heart! I'm looking forward to MANY, MANY more years with you, and I can't wait for the day we can be sealed together and to our wonderful 'Little Man', and any other children Heavenly Father sees fit to bless us with.

Our activities for this Halloween season Started off with going to a Ward Halloween party, on Friday, October 30th. They had a Chili kick off, and games and activities for the kids. Then the following night, we got dressed up and went to visit family. Started out by visiting my mom, then my grandparents, after which we went to Matt's aunt and uncle's house for chili, then ended up at Claudia's place (mother-in-law). It was a fun time, but long for a 6 month old. He was so cute in his cop outfit, while Matt and I were the inmates Ridge caught.

I Love My Family

Our Little Family Outing

We decided we needed a family outing a week or so ago, so we went for a drive. It was really nice. We went up Ogden Canyon, and Ridge slept for the Hour we drove, so it was nice for Matt and I to just be able to talk about anything and everything. Then we stopped by Pineview "beach" (he he, one of the many Utah Beaches, at least) and hung out there for a bit. But since it was kinda cold and cloudy, we didn't stay long. Ridge got his first feel of sand, and he seemed to enjoy it. It was a nice out for all of us. But it was good to get the Men out of the house for a bit.

So...We (Matt and I) finally went on a date last night. First one in 4 months. It was so much fun, and so very needed. We decided we needed to go out and do something, so we found a sitter and couldn't figure out what to do without our son. It was so funny. We went and got ice cream while we were trying to figure it out...Yep, we drop Ridge off at the sitter, and still had no clue what to do. We ended up going to Toad's (used to be Mulligan's) It was so much fun. We played on the Go Cart's (I froze my butt off) and then I ALMOST got Matt to play Dance Dance Revolution...or whatever its called. But when we put the money in, it only had one side work :( Then we enjoyed a game of galactic golf. I forgot how much fun "dating" can be. But it was also nice to get back to Ridge, at the end of the night.....It was alot of fun!

Help, I'm stuck!

Ridge's newest thing to do is scoot over to his chair and pull it over top himself. He grunts and growns till you say something to him about it, then he just smiles at you!

Our Zoo Day

We took Ridge to the zoo for his first zoo visit about 2 weeks ago. Although he is to little to really know and pay close attention to the animals there, he still seemed to enjoy it, almost as much as his mom did. Matt is not big on the "Kid" things in life, so I had to beg him to take us. ;) Ridge watched some of the animals, and did so good for not taking his nap that day. It was alot of fun! Thank you Matthew

Trying this out

I figured I'd give this Blog thing a try, and I will try to stay caught up on it. But as most of you know, life is pretty hectic. As of right now, I'm still working full time and taking care of a son and a husband. We stay pretty busy around here, life is always hoping. I'm just trying to figure out when i have time to breath some days. We are trying to figure out our options at this time for Matthew's work options, and I'm hoping it doesn't end up with us needing to move far to have Matt working, but I'd be able to be a stay at home mom at that point...so there would be a Pro or two to it. Guess only time will tell. And the Lord will open whatever path is needed for us. Guess its one of those time to turn fully to the Lord on this one!
